Thank you.
There isn’t a better or a more appropriate way to start off a post on 2009. It’s a genuine thank you and it took me the entire past year to realize that I have so many things to be thankful for. Because 2009 was the year all aspects of my life changed for the better. It was a tough year yet somehow most of the people I know managed to make the absolute best of it.
It all started one morning in the spring of ’09 when I was enjoying a coffee downtown Budapest and I was implementing a campaign on Trilulilu. It was so close to an epiphany that I remember it like it was this morning. I then realized that I could do this for the rest of my life: I could work wherever I had an Internet connection.
Shortly afterwards I’ve founded (INC)3 , I’ve helped in the organizing of the FutureHosting Conference, the first of its kind in Romania, an initiative of Webfactor – I later joined the company as CMCO and I’m thankful & proud of the goals achieved during my short stay with them. There are some great folks working there and they are constantly innovating in their industry.
By the end of the year I’ve worked on 4 major campaigns for top-notch companies and some of them are still going strong.
I’ve never dreamed of working with some of the biggest names in the international social media sphere and I’m ever so thankful for the opportunities given to me.
Quite recently I’ve lived up to my part in organizing WWW Party, the first event specifically dedicated to the online community in my hometown. I’m thankful for having Andrei Crivat and Gabriel Aldea as my friends, the other two co-organizers of this successful event. We plan on making this a tradition and hopefully the online community of Cluj-Napoca will have a great reason to party at least three times a year.
On the personal side my life took a few dramatic hits but in the end it all turned out for the better. I’m therefor thankful for all those that helped me realize that true happiness lies within ones heart.
Overall, 2009 was a successful year and I plan on making 2010 at least ten times better.
I’m thankful for all the great people I’ve had the opportunity to work with this year and wish them a sincere Happy & Profitable 2010.
There is so much more that needs to be said, but I’ll stop here. And I won’t make any predictions for 2010 as far as the market goes, what will be the rising trends how the next year will end. We will be there and we will see. But I’m really optimistic and quite Zen about it.
We’ll all be exceeding expectations, make our dreams come true and continue going strong. So thank you 2009, I’m thankful for everything you had to offer.
