It’s been a hectic two weeks since the year started, thus my absence from all that’s social and new media.  A quick summary of January’s  events in my life:

• Trilulilu is now the #1 site in Romania, overall. Kudos to the entire team! And we now have an internal advertising salesforce.
• My better half started blogging. She already published a few social studies under a CC license. A great read for those in the field, so go grab them here.
• I’ve been quite ill lately. Quick word of advice: If you catch a cold, don’t play tennis. You’re going to get immobilized in bed for at least 3 days straight.

The LinkedBook experiment is still underway, the results are quite interesting, I shall have the final ones released by the end of January. I’ve been told on several occasions it’s a bold move, thus the results will not be what you could call eyebrow raising.

Do you know what whuffie is? Neither did I not so long ago. I would somewhat compare it to social capital, if you can relate to this term more easily. But the most important aspect is that apparently I have some of it.  And some of it got automatically exchanged last night, when I brokered a business deal for a friend of mine.  So I guess I’ll be seeing some of my tech readers at WHD’09. I’m not sure I’ll be on the speaker panel, but that would be lovely

I’m still pondering over the best way to organize my online presence in ’09. I’ll most likely move to another domain and focus exclusively on marketing/sales in regards to technology and new/social media. I love technology and most of the time technology loves me back.

There are quite a lot of interesting things that ’09 cooked up for all of us, so keep a stiff upper lip, stay sharp and look out for all those wonderful opportunities around you. And remember, it’s a crisis year. If you let it be.
